THE TESTIMONIES KEEP COMING FOR DR. OSAMWOYI WILLIAM IROWA

“…the accounts reaching me continue to describe a man whose concern for humanity did not begin with politics.”

By Comrade Ikhuenbor Felix Igbinevbo (Mr. Figo)

When I first wrote about Dr. Osamwoyi Abiodun William Irowa, I did not expect the response that followed. Since then, I have received calls and had one-on-one conversations with men and women across the twelve wards of Oredo and beyond, sharing their experiences with him and speaking about the compassion they have encountered.

What comes through clearly in these conversations is the impression of a man who puts human life first. People have spoken about situations in which the immediate concern was helping someone in need, with little emphasis on the money involved. They described moments when the person before him mattered more than the financial consideration, and where the priority was simply to provide assistance and save a life.

In an environment where financial considerations can sometimes overshadow the human being seeking help, the experiences shared with me describe a different approach. People speak of a doctor who sees the patient before the payment and the human being before the transaction. For those who have encountered him in difficult moments, that compassion has remained memorable.

Some of the people who reached out to me were not individuals I had previously heard speak about Dr. Irowa. They simply felt compelled to share what they knew and what they had personally experienced. Their accounts have come from different people and different circumstances, yet the common thread remains his concern for human life and his willingness to help when people are in need.

That is what gives these testimonies their weight. They are not based on what a man says about himself, but on what people who have encountered him remember about their experiences. The stories speak of assistance received, compassion shown and a genuine concern for people at moments when they needed it most.

There is something particularly significant about a reputation that is carried by the people whose lives have been touched by a person’s actions. In Dr. Irowa’s case, the accounts reaching me continue to describe a man whose concern for humanity did not begin with politics. They point to compassion expressed through actual encounters with people who needed help.

A good heart is reflected in how people remember being treated. Compassion leaves an impression, especially when it is demonstrated at a difficult moment. The testimonies I have received about Dr. Irowa continue to tell that story across Oredo and beyond.

These are the voices I have heard, the experiences people have shared with me and the reason his name continues to come up in conversations about the 2027 Oredo Federal Constituency contest. The testimonies are coming from people who have encountered him, and they speak consistently about his humanity, his compassion and his concern for human life.

The testimonies keep coming, and they are telling their own story.
